About the programme
Develop your financial management skills to take your career to the next level.
Designed for experienced finance practitioners and managers, the programme provides its graduates with highly-developed financial acumen, strategy techniques and business knowledge.
This lively, interactive diploma provides the academic rigour of a specialised Oxford masters-level qualification in a format that is designed to suit busy executives. The programme consists of four modules, each lasting four days, over one year.
- Strategy (23–26 January 2019)
- Business finance (13–16 March 2019)
- Corporate valuation (29 May–1 June 2019)
- Financial strategies for growth (25–28 September 2019)
On completion of the four modules and related assessments, you will be equipped with the skills and knowledge to take high-level strategic decisions and drive the financial performance of your organisation.

Study alongside other finance practitioners from across the world, sharing experiences and gaining fresh insights.
The first module, strategy, was enlivened by the insistence of application to the workplace. As a result, I have, with the full support of the director, reshaped the divisional strategy.
Attending Saïd Business School gives you the chance to gain exposure to the top ranks of the business world. Regular seminars, forums and guest lectures provide a steady stream of networking opportunities.
You will become an associate member of St Hugh’s College and each module will provide networking opportunities with your classmates and faculty while simultaneously introducing you to different parts of the historic University of Oxford.
After you have completed the programme you will become a member of the Oxford Business Alumni network (OBA) and will have associate alumni status of St Hugh’s College.

Scholarships for women
Oxford Saïd is committed to increasing the economic participation and influence of women.
As a result, there are three scholarships on this programme for outstanding female candidates: one for 50% of tuition fees and two for £5,000 fee reductions.
The diploma and the Executive MBA
The Diploma in Financial Strategy provides a proven pathway to the Oxford Executive MBA.
Although the diploma is a self-standing University of Oxford qualification, it also provides a pathway to the Oxford Executive MBA. Both programmes are assessed at the same academic level and diploma participants, therefore, receive exemptions from the four equivalent EMBA modules, as well as a fee reduction.
This programme is designed for experienced professionals, with 5 or more years' work experience.
Participants are typically finance professionals, and general managers looking to equip themselves to lead the financial and business strategy of their organisation

The programme fee covers tuition costs, course materials, essential reading texts, assessments, and college fees. Lunch and refreshments are provided daily and there is an evening dinner at a different Oxford college during each module.
Accommodation is not included in the fee. You should make arrangements to stay in Oxford during the modules.
