The International Business Group aims to advance our understanding of business in a semi-globalised world.
The group conducts pioneering research on global issues facing established and entrepreneurial firms, including:
- global value chains
- make-or-buy decisions
- technological upgrading
- innovation and global entrepreneurship
- political risk
- government-industry relations (including corporate diplomacy)
Members publish their work in leading academic journals and have served in leadership positions for key professional associations, including the Society for the Advancement of Socio-Economics. They regularly give keynote speeches at conferences, undertake consultancy, and teach on programmes for senior executives and professionals.
Doctoral students contribute to research and teaching, and doctoral student applications are encouraged.
